Ladies, are you ready for an afternoon of heart-pounding, hard-hitting women’s football action? Join Sweet for an Earth Day celebration as the New York Sharks play the Connecticut Crushers, April 24, 2010, 3.30pm.
The New York Sharks welcome Sweet CEO Shannon Wentworth to do the coin toss. The Sweet group is invited to join in the merriment at the post-game bash hosted by the Sharks.
Show your love of the planet by wearing green and bringing signs with your favorite green slogans (hint: write them on recycled cardboard).
EARTH DAY PROJECT
Join the women of Sweet from noon to 2pm for a clean up of the surrounding National Park. All volunteers earn free admission to the game. RSVP for the project at info@discoversweet.com with “Sharks clean up” in the subject line to receive details. Meet at the Ranger station. Bring water. Gloves and bags provided.

For directions to Floyd Bennett Field, go to http://nysharksfootball.com/stadium/index.cfm. Continue past Aviator Sports entrance to last entrance on left (Aviator Rd.) just before the bridge. As you drive in there will be a white house on the right hand side, which is the ranger station. Meet there to obtain voluntour assignment location.

My daughter and I had a great mother /daughter day that included doing something for our earth. We felt really good helping clean up the beach. Game was fun also though chilly. Would love to see more Sweet events that involve are kids. Need to teach the new generations
